Describe characteristics of the area in which you live, thinking about the areas climate, animals, plants. Students were given the rubric (see below) for the Biomes project and begun filling in a graphic organizer about the 6 major land biomes using their textbooks (pages 296-305) and notes from the board. In addition they located each biome on a coloring world map by coloring in the areas of each biome a specific color. (see attached file below: Legal size biome_goand_ coloring.pptx)
